A man is appearing in court in connection with a woman's stab death

A man is appearing in court charged with killing a woman who was stabbed to death in a house in Liverpool, police said.

Anthony De Asha, 49, will appear at Sefton Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of his wife Joanne De Asha, 45.

He was arrested after the incident in Morningside, Crosby, Liverpool, on Wednesday evening.

A post-mortem examination showed the victim died from multiple stab wounds.
