Commons speaker John Bercow Friday March 5,2010 MPs are to be handed a pay rise worth nearly £1,000 a year from next month, it was today disclosed. In a move that will infuriate millions of hard-pressed families seeing their incomes squeezed, MPs will get a 1.5 per cent increase, taking a backbencher’s annual salary to £65,737.

How can these people be so arrogant as to even consider a pay rise given the recent expenses scandal, have they no shame . we are a sick society indeed if we can reward greed and theft in this way , They should be dismissed from office with immediate effect as would be the case in any private business. How are we ever to expect any kind of respect from our young generation who are continually being harassed for their lack of respect to the general public when these are the kind of people they see running our country. It is a sad day indeed when these politicians are rewarded for stealing from the public who trusted them, in the interest of our young people who will be our future leaders GO NOW!!!!! do not wait for the ballot box to remove you?

Most definitely not now the fuel tax is going to shoot up'.So these so called politicians can rise above the effects of it.It is going to have massive effect on food prices thus effecting OAPS and unemployed.Your hospital volunteer car services for patients will be effected.as volunteers mileage allowance is only a pittance this rise will take it over the edge.Of course on their wage structure they will not feel effect.
They should be payed on productivity not for the cr-p they are producing todate which is nothing.
What has anyone of these leeches put forward that will be beneficial to people and country nothing.Here a few that would work.
(A) sort out Banks
(B) Cap bonus wages on execs private sector Councils Go't.
(C)Clear up wasteage of money by Gov't and Council.Cap expenses.
(D) Stop money third world
(E) Pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan
(F) Pull out of" Euro cesspit"
(G) Cap profiot margins
(H) Nationalise utilities again and railways.
(I) Cap fat cats// they don't like it they can FO,
All the above alone will be more than enough to start paying back without them walking over us with increased taxes
