ODD NEWSDON’T SHOOT ROBIN PLEA
A Facebook campaign has been set up to save a robin which has been living in Sainsbury’s Sunday February 21,2010 By Daily Express ReporterA FACEBOOK campaign has been set up to save a cheeky robin which has been living in a Sainsbury’s supermarket for two months.
The little bird has become a favourite with customers since flying into the store at Christmas. But many now fear it could be shot. Bosses in Taunton, Somerset, want to it because it sets off the alarm. More than 2,200 have now joined a Facebook group, ‘Save the Sainsbury’s resident Robin from being shot’. Sainsbury’s said it has no intention of shooting the bird. A spokesman said: “We are trying to tempt it out by putting bread down.”

join the group save the sainsburys resident robin from being shot . because of the number of members sainsburys have indeed had there feathers ruffled!! they would never admit the bird was to be shot now even though many many of the staff joined the group!! this is not a group to slate sainsburys simply a group started in protest at what was to happen to the robin . i was told this by staff who asked me to set up the group as they feared reprisals if they did! one lady was told in front of her 6 year old the bird was to be shot or gassed as it had set off the alarms on xmas day!! sainsburys now say this was a joke .. some joke sainsburys!!!

Don't they have any seed and fatballs?
Do they think it eats bread in the wild!
