MY KIDNAP SON ‘ALIVE’

Story Image

OPERATION: Forces conduct a hostage rescue

Sunday June 28,2009

THE father of a hostage being held by Iraqi kidnappers has “a gut instinct” he is still alive.

But Graeme Moore believes it will be months before his son Peter could be set free, due to lack of support from the British Government.

Delivery driver Graeme, 59, of Wigston, Leics, said yesterday: “Deep down I have a gut instinct that my son is still alive.”

He spoke out as the bodies of two guards – Jason Swindlehurst, 39, from Skelmersdale, Lancs, and Jason Creswell, 38, from Glasgow – held captive with his son were flown home from Baghdad on Friday.

IT expert Peter, who will be 36 in nine days, was seized in 2007 with his four bodyguards. His father said a video of Peter released in March had given him “fresh hope”.
