WINNING £ 2,500 IS A SNAP!
Last years winner: John Short
The Sunday Express has teamed up with Old Pulteney Single Malt Scoth Whisky to launch the UK's largest maritime photograph competition, Wish You Were Here. Our aim is to revive the British tradition of the seaside postcard. We are looking for shots of life on the ocean wave: of a surfer catching the perfect wave, or fishermen coming into shore. We want creative images that have a story to tell. It is your chance to emulate last year's winner, John Short, who beat off 1,300 Sunday Express readers with his stunning snap of Staithes in North Yorkshire. John, an office manager from South Shields, Tyne and Wear, said: "The light fell perfectly and everything slotted into place. It was a perfect moment." Now in its fourth year, the Wish You Were Here competition has become the most prestigious marine photography contest in the country. We'll be publishing a selection of the best entries right here at sundayexpress.co.uk until the competition closes in mid-December. To view the photo gallery please click the link below.
