SATURDAY FOOTBALL LIVE

Saturday March 13 2010

THE Barclays Premier League clash between Chelsea and West Ham dominates the football action today, with the spotlight on rookie goalkeeper Ross Turnbull.

Second-choice stopper Hilario has suffered a groin injury and will miss Chelsea's clash against West Ham.

With Petr Cech still out, it means boss Carlo Ancelotti must rely on Ross Turnbull, who will be making his first Premier League start for the Blues.

Elsewhere Harry Redknapp has told Spurs to take the fourth Champions League spot and make him the only English manager in Europe’s top competition.

Sir Bobby Robson was the last Englishman to manage a Premier League side in the tournament in 2002-03 with Newcastle, but the monopoly of the Big Four under foreign bosses such as Arsene Wenger and Rafa Benitez has shut out English talent ever since.

Fourth-placed Tottenham lead a chasing pack of Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa, and, ahead of today’s home game with Blackburn, Redknapp has challenged his squad to warning foreign owners were overlooking good homegrown managerial talent.

Meanwhile Arsenal take on Stoke with out Cesc Fabregas and Middlesbrough face Newcastle in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship.
