WAYNE ROONEY ADMITS SON KAI IS A TOFFEE FAN

TRUE SCOUSERS: Wayne and wife Coleen

Friday March 12,2010

FORMER Everton hero Wayne Rooney famously declared “once a blue always a blue” shortly before, much to general Scouse chagrin, holding up the red shirt of Manchester United at a £20million signing in 2004.

However an olive branch of sorts appears to have been waved down the East Lancashire Road in the direction of Goodison Park when he revealed yesterday that four-month-old son Kai is being raised as a Toffees supporter. Promoting the World Cup for Coca-Cola at Earls Court, Rooney revealed that Kai is already a regular on the terraces. “He’s been to a few games, although I’m not sure he knows what’s going on,” said the 24-year-old striker, who this week took his goal tally for the season to 30, with two against AC Milan.

“He came to see me play in the important one against Everton though – the two teams I have played for and against the team he supports.”
